The Astronomer's Dream, or the Man in the Moon (French: La Lune à un mètre, literally "The Moon from One Meter Off") is an 1898 French short silent film by Georges Méliès. Based on one of his stage magic acts, and starring Méliès himself, the film presents a varied assortment of images and imaginings. I believe that you will find the short video to be bizarre, unique, and compelling. The video and audio quality (background music) are excellent, especially since this short film is about 125 years old.
