From 1969 to 1975, Seven Up re-branded itself as Uncola. Actually, it was the Walter Thompson Advertising Agency that was hired by Seven Up to shake things up and that is exactly what they did. Their campaign which lasted 6 years was about rebranding Seven Up. The commercials were intended to turn Seven Up into the very cool "Uncola." The "Uncola" campaign played into the unconventional anti-establishment feeling of young people at that time. The commercials were some of the coolest!

Pinky Leff, better known as Pinky Lee, was a vaudeville actor, comic and dancer who starred as Pinky Lee on the Pinky Lee Show from 1950 to 56. The show also known as Pinky Lee and TV Party was an Emmy-nominated afternoon children's program. The show was followed each day by the popular Howdy Doody Show.
