"Lollipop" is a pop song sung by the Chordettes, that was written by Julius Dixson and Beverly Ross. Beverly Ross was so taken by the word "lollipop", that she sat down at the piano and created a version of the song. right on the spot. The Chordettes released the song in February 1958 and it became a world-wide hit. The Chordettes are Carol Buschmann, Dorothy "Dottie" Schwartz, Jinny Osborn, and Janet Ertel.
