Safety Last! is a 1923 silent romantic-comedy film. It stars Harold Lloyd. The image in the thumbnail is one of Lloyd clutching the hands of a large clock as he dangles from the outside of a skyscraper above moving traffic, which is the most famous image from the days of silent films. The movie was highly successful and critically acclaimed. Safety First! cemented Lloyd's status as a major star in the early days of motion pictures. The film is still popular at revivals and on YouTube. The movie is viewed today as one of the great film comedies of all time.
The movie is about a young man who leaves his small country town and heads to the big city to get a job. As soon as he makes it big his sweetheart will join him and marry him.
