This is the third episode about how the Lone Ranger got started. The Lone Ranger, played by Clayton Moore, is still on the trail of Butch Cavendish and his gang. The Cavendish gang ambushed The Lone Ranger and five other Texas Rangers in the first episode, killing the other rangers and nearly killing the lone Ranger. In this episode, the Lone Ranger sends Tonto, played by Jay Silverheels, to the nearby town of Colby in order to organise a posse. This is episode 3 of the first season, it aired on Sept. 29, 1949.
